Previous Homework:
- need more detail on tiger's body
- need "highlight" tiger (as main focus): one solution is to make background darker.
- other student's pictures:
- quite a few used very bright color as background and look good
- suggest to use some small flakes to balance the picture (shape/focus/color)
Class: ink pen sketch box (3-D)
- observation: not object's detail for drawing, but shape.
- First: 4 dots to define the box, most top, bottom, left and right
- Secondly: line connection to form sides. Note: not necessary to connect above 4 nodes directly because they may not on the same side in 3-D
- Third: build 3-D boxes
- note: when drawing lines, it needs be one-time work firmly. No erase as ink-pen, but can correct with overlapping lines. Suggestion: When start drawing the lines, eyes at the end of line destinations.
- Note: line perspective, at current level, just draw parallel lines for boxes
- drawing details: when to fussy/fade out? (skip/break some lines as dash lines because it's inkpen which cannot use value and color to fade out)
(1) size: smaller one fade out
(2) locations: far fade out (when same size)
(3) line directions: all image/line direction should be consistent (parallel at current level) with box shape to avoid image (2-D) on box's surface "standing up" as 3-D
Homework:
- improve previous homework (the year of tiger)
- 10 pages boxes ink pen with detail (different shape)
- next week: color pencils
